Recently, allergic disorders have become a prevalent global health concern and statistics show millions of people experience asthma, food allergies, allergic rhinitis, and medication hypersensitivities.

Lamiaceae (commonly known as mint) contain natural anti-allergenic compounds and have been proven to target IgE responses in the allergy cascades, working as an anti-inflammatory agent and reducing the allergic reaction. This research paper will demonstrate how this plant’s properties work, medicinal uses, the phytoconstituents from the Lamiaceae family and their anti-allergenic activity.
